DunhamHello Cougar Families!

This is my first year teaching at Mendota Elementary!  I am delighted to be teaching in my community, and look forward to my own kids becoming fellow Cougars! I began my career in 2006 teaching secondary art and French in Anchorage, Alaska. I moved back to the Twin Cities in 2008 and have taught here in Minnesota at both the secondary and elementary levels.  I received an Art degree and minor in French from the University of Wyoming.

My curriculum is designed to engage and encourage elementary students in the visual arts.  We will try new materials, work in a variety of formats and techniques, learn art history and art in other cultures, as well as discover why art is important in our world.  My hope is that students come out of the year excited about art and having learned some new things.

Outside the classroom I enjoy spending time with my family.  I also love the outdoors, camping, hiking mountains, running, biking, gardening and cooking.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions.

Daily Schedule
I teach at Mendota on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday.
